MEAT LOVER

This weekend was Meat Lover soft opening, a new pop up restaurant in Clerkenwell at Filthy McNasty's pub.
First time I went to this pub was for St Patricks day this year, I really liked the atmosphere and music there, so it was a pleasure to learn this weekend they were opening a pop up restaurant there, and did 50% on all food.
This place is the kind of local pub everyone would like to have around their house. Staff is very cool, they are very friendly with customers which makes you feel comfortable.
I went there on Sunday for a late lunch after a big Saturday night party with two friends, the place was very friendly, there was different kind of customers, group of friends, families with children...
We ordered a lot of food. Everything was perfect from service to the food. I have never been to Pitt Cue Co in Soho but my flatmate had and she thought pulled pork was nearly as good as Pitt Cue co. I presumed it's a good compliment as I heard only good things about Pitt Cue Co pulled pork.
Whatever, I had mozzarella sticks, Mr Blatchfords buttermilk fried chicken and fries and I really enjoyed everything. Meat is very tasty as they marinated it before cooking.
I might come back soon as I was very tempted to order pulled pork sandwich and Mac&Cheese but I was already full!

Buffalo wings with Frank's hot sauce

 Burger 8oz prime beef

  1. We've just been to this place and had possibly the worst service and food in London.

The table who were seated after us finished their food and left an hour before we even got our food, the 15% off our bill doesn't quite cut it.

On top of that the wings were soggy, no real hotness to the 'Franks hot sauce'. Ribs were OK, so over cooked for a 'slow cook' it was tough. Lets not even talk about the bone marrow mash. Bone marrow soup more like? I couldn't eat it with my fork that's for sure.

We did feel sorry for the waitress, who had to pass on the word from the manager that 'the chef was just overwhelmed with the amount of orders'.

    Won't be going back.
